Log one piece of QC evidence, end to end
The shortest honest loop: capture the real source, label it, date it, note the open question, and save it so you can find it again.
- 1
Open the log and start a fresh entry
On the tool page, the workspace starts empty — that is intentional. An empty desk is a private worksheet, not a verified product database. Press the new-entry control to open the form.
- 2
Paste the real item or source URL
Type or paste the actual web address where you saw the claim — the listing page, the seller's table, or the page you are querying. Avoid keeping only a cropped screenshot: a screenshot loses the address, so you cannot re-open it later. The address is the evidence.
- 3
Add a photograph URL only if it is genuinely real
The optional photograph field is for an image address you actually hold — your own warehouse QC upload, or the seller's original listing image. This desk never loads a default product photo and never invents one. If you do not have a real image address, leave it blank and rely on the page URL instead.
- 4
Label the source type honestly
Choose Seller image for a listing photo, Warehouse QC for a photo the warehouse team took of the item in hand, and Tutorial illustration for a diagram that explains a step. These three are not interchangeable, and mislabelling one as another is the fastest way to fool yourself.
- 5
Record the inspection date
Use the date you actually looked at the item, not the date you ordered and not the date you are editing the row. A claim with no date cannot be re-checked, because prices, stock and photos all change.
- 6
Write the one outstanding question
Keep it to a single sentence you cannot answer yet — for example the exact depth of a bag, or whether a strap is included. One clear question is easier to resolve than a paragraph of doubt.
- 7
Set the check status and save
Use To check when you have not looked yet, Checking while you are gathering answers, Follow-up when you have sent a question and are waiting, and Recorded when the row is complete for you. Saving writes the row to your own browser only.
- 8
Find it again with search and filters
Use the search box over the title, URL and question text, and filter by source type or status. The log stays on your device, so a refresh keeps your rows and a full reset clears them.
